You have most likely heard about Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and perhaps even dabbled in making your website lovable for search engines and are paying attention to your rankings.
As a business owner or blogger you naturally want to bring people to your website, and getting free, delicious traffic from search engines is a fantastic way to do that.
You can pay for that traffic using advertisement in search engines, social media or on other websites. While advertisement can be a great idea in many cases when you stop paying the traffic from those sources also stop.
For that reason, it is well worth investing your time learning a bit more about SEO and put the things you’ve learned into practice.
They include technical aspects of your website, how well the content on your website matches what people are searching for in search engines, the number of credible sites that link to your website and many many other factors (estimated to be over 200).
If the thought of all of this makes you sweat, consider this: For every improvement you make there is a competitor that did not put in that work, putting you ahead.
Put SEO into your workflow as it suits you, a little every week is better than spending one day once and that is the end of it.
To make it easier for you I have compiled a list of 4 of the (in my opinion) best SEO Chrome-extensions out there. An Extension is added functionality to your browser, so you can access these tools with ease.
They are quick to install, and if you don’t like it after trying it you can easily uninstall it by right-clicking the icon and removing it from Chrome.

Let’s get to the extensions!
SEOquake
This great SEO-extension gives you information right on the search engine result page about the difficulty level of your keywords as well as data on your competitors.
You can also Analyze websites / perform a page audit. Get information such as what parts of your site are optimized for SEO, it suggests changes you can make, provides information about backlinks, lets you look at how your competitors are doing and much much more.
SEO Minion
Very easy to use and reliable extension. I love the approach with the right-hand tab rather than a top-bar, the information is laid out in a very clear manner. The tools are easy to use and work great. Two favorites of mine are the link-checker to look for broken links on any site, and the Google search location simulator.
Keywords Everywhere

A keyword tool that gives you search volume and CPC costs right in the search result, as well as for “people also search for”. Saves a lot of time when doing keyword research! Definitely, a tool not to be missed.
SEO Search Simulator by Nightwatch

Check ranks for any given keyword from any location. Very useful to help you get accurate results for the target market you are working on.
Put SEO into your workflow as it suits you, a little every week is better than spending one day once and that is the end of it.
